In our new version of ‘normal’, several areas will be slightly different for a while. We will need to limit some services in order to achieve the best solution for you and for our staff whilst following scientific advice and best practice to keep everyone safe. Welsh Government Covid-19 restrictions are different to those in England and Scotland.
For the time being, we cannot open the bar nor offer a restaurant space. As of 13th July, only external bars and restaurants are permitted to open in Wales. We have an arrangement with a local restaurant who can provide meals outside of their premises, or, delivered to your room at the hotel. At the moment, we are not offering drinks or evening food prepared on site in order to safeguard our staff and maintain 2m distancing as instructed by Welsh Government. We are unable to fulfil drinks vouchers for the moment but will gladly give them to you to use on a future visit. We do not expect to have full services operating until late September.
Staff will be wearing masks and we are required to maintain 2m social distancing in Wales, please don’t be offended if staff need to keep their distance.
Under current legislation, we are unable to offer twin rooms or triple rooms to those not already in family groups or extended family groups. You will be required to confirm by email that you are in a family or extended family group before we can allow you to access the bedrooms.
Please call on 029 20550750 if you need any further clarification.
Hand gels are readily available throughout the building and all areas are sanitised as frequently as needed.
As scientific advice shows that it is safe to release restrictions, then we will amend our services accordingly.
*please be aware that Castle Street is currently closed, if driving to Cardiff please plan for additional disruption. We advise approaching the city centre from the South.
